Akwa Ibom: Police nab 178 suspects, recover 69

In early 2024, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command announced that it had arrested 178 individuals suspected of involvement in various crimes—including armed robbery, kidnapping and cult activities—and seized 69 items of stolen or illegal property, such as firearms, motorcycles, cash and other contraband, as part of a coordinated crackdown across the state.
