Tinubu commissions 4 MDGIF-supported CNG projects
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s president, officially opened four compressed natural‑gas (CNG) projects funded by the Multi‑Donor Group for Infrastructure Financing (MDGIF). The projects—two CNG stations in Lagos, one in Abuja and a CNG pipeline linking the stations—aim to expand clean‑fuel infrastructure, reduce reliance on diesel generators, lower emissions and support the country’s drive toward a greener energy mix. The commissioning marks a key step in Nigeria’s effort to increase domestic CNG use for transport and power generation. Views Nigeria
