KACRAN Calls to Protect Cattle Routes and Revive
KACRAN (Kenya Cattle Route Network) is a coalition of pastoralist groups, NGOs and local authorities that campaigns for the protection of traditional cattle migration routes and the revival of livestock trade in Kenya. It urges the government to enforce anti‑poaching laws, restore grazing corridors, improve veterinary services and invest in market infrastructure so that pastoralists can safely move their herds and sustain their livelihoods.
