Government Opens Polio Emergency Operations Centre in Katsina

The Nigerian federal government inaugurated a Polio Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in Katsura, the capital of Katsina State, to coordinate intensified surveillance, vaccination campaigns and rapid response activities aimed at eradicating polio in the region. The centre brings together health officials, security agencies and partners to monitor cases, manage outbreaks and ensure timely delivery of oral polio vaccine to children under five.
