Female police officer, pedestrian killed in Gombe truck

A female police officer was injured while attempting to stop a truck that struck and killed a pedestrian in Gombe, northeastern Nigeria. The incident occurred on a busy road when the truck failed to brake, hitting the pedestrian; the officer, who was nearby, was hit by the vehicle’s side and taken to hospital.
