Court cancels INEC deadline, allows parties to file

The Supreme Court of Nigeria ruled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) missed the statutory deadline for publishing the final list of candidates for the 2023 elections, and therefore the deadline is nullified. The court ordered INC​ to accept and process nomination papers and other filings from political parties and candidates even after the missed deadline, giving them a reasonable period to complete the process.
