ojude oba festival

The Ojude Oba Festival is an annual cultural celebration held in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria, usually in late September or early October. It marks the end of Ramadan and honors the town’s traditional ruler, the Awujale. Thousands of Ijebu men, dressed in elaborate native attire, parade with their families and age‑grade groups (known as “agbas”) to pay homage, showcase cultural dances, music, and fashion, while also serving as a reunion and a showcase of Ijebu heritage. The event attracts tourists, dignitaries, and media attention each year. Views Nigeria
