FUHSO Defends MBBS Accreditation Process Amid Student Protests

The Federation of Ugandan Health Students’ Organizations (FUHSO) publicly defended the Ministry of Health’s MBBS accreditation process, stating that the criteria and inspections follow national and international standards to ensure quality medical education. FUHSO said the process is transparent, that any delays or issues are being addressed, and urged protesting students to engage constructively rather than disrupt examinations, emphasizing that the accreditation outcomes will ultimately protect patient safety and uphold the credibility of Uganda’s medical schools.
