2027: Sokoto APC affirms Aliyu as governorship candidate

In May 2027 the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State officially confirmed former Minister of State for Works & Housing Aliyu Abubakar Aliyu (commonly known as Aliyu Baba‑Kano) as its candidate for the 2027 Sokoto State governorship election.
