Trump appoints Bill Pulte acting US intelligence chief

President Donald Trump named Bill Pulte as the acting Director of National Intelligence on June 5, 2020, after the resignation of former DNI John Ratcliffe. Pulte, a career intelligence officer who previously served as the CIA’s deputy director for analysis, stepped in to lead the U.S. intelligence community on an interim basis while a permanent director was selected.
