Nigerian Army adopts drone-based surveillance technology

The Nigerian Army has begun using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with high‑resolution cameras and real‑time data links to monitor borders, track insurgent movements and support combat operations. The drone‑based surveillance system enhances situational awareness, improves intelligence gathering and enables faster response to threats such as Boko Harassment, banditry and other security challenges across the country.
