NPA Chief Highlights Outdated Port Infrastructure in West

The NPA (National Ports Authority) chief highlighted that many ports in western Nigeria suffer from outdated infrastructure—aging berths, insufficient cargo‑handling equipment, poor road and rail links, and limited storage facilities—causing congestion, higher turnaround times and reduced competitiveness for exporters and importers in the region.
