NAFDIC (Nigeria’s National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control) announced that it has seized and destroyed counterfeit medicines valued at about N1.8 billion (roughly $4 million). The operation targeted fake antimalarials, antibiotics and other substandard drugs circulating in the market, aiming to protect public health and curb illegal pharmaceutical trade.
