AS Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro has cast significant doubt on Paul Pogba’s future at the club, announcing that the 33-year-old midfielder could leave this summer.
Speaking with Get French Football News, Scuro stated that if the club and the player’s goals are no longer aligned, an early exit is a distinct possibility.

“It is a complicated topic because we have a lot of respect for Paul, for the person he is. Since he arrived, he has been very positive,” he told Get French Football News.
“It is also true that, last year, the project didn’t work well because when we started with him in the summer, the expectations were very different to what happened.
“I think that we have to be fair with him, follow his preparation every week, how he will progress physically and technically, and then it will be the manager’s decision.”
The hope that Pogba could resurrect his career was extremely enticing, as he was a bit of an unknown quantity when he signed for Monaco.

Now that it’s proven that his body isn’t capable of handling the rigours of modern football anymore, it could be curtains for him at top-level football.
Again, with Monaco aiming to reduce their wage bill, the midfielder’s future remains uncertain. New manager Filipe Luís described Pogba as a “special player” and plans discussions with him in the coming days.
