“The first half was very difficult for us, but we managed to control it a bit. Portugal is very strong; four years ago we conceded four goals, now we conceded fewer, which was good,” the left‑back said, quoted by Portuguese website O Jogo.

Sanusi currently plays for Primeira Liga champions FC Porto.
The 28‑year‑old also revealed that he will be supporting Roberto Martinez’s side when they compete at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“I can’t say how far Portugal can go, but it’s my second country, so may they be world champions,” he added.
