Sahara Group Foundation has opened a new “Go Recycling Hub” in Masaka, Nasarawa State, providing structured recycling services to communities in Northern Nigeria.
The hub was launched in partnership with the Nasarawa State Waste Management Authority (NASWAMSA) and represents a key step in expanding practical, community‑driven sustainability initiatives across the country.
The Sahara Go Recycling Initiative turns waste management into an opportunity, diverting recyclables from landfills, raising environmental awareness, and creating income opportunities for households.
The Masaka hub deepens this impact while aligning with the Sahara Beyond XXX vision of building sustainable ecosystems that deliver long‑term value for people, communities, and the planet.
During the unveiling, Sahara Group Foundation Director Chidilim Menakaya said the launch highlights the Foundation’s commitment to scalable solutions that blend environmental stewardship with community empowerment.
“Masaka represents an important next step in expanding access to sustainable waste management across Nigeria. Through the Sahara Go Recycling, we are showing how collaboration can unlock cleaner communities, stronger livelihoods, and shared prosperity.”
