Al‑Nassr secured the Saudi Pro League title on Thursday after a 4‑1 win over Damak, giving Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo his first major trophy since joining the club in 2023, TNT Sports reports.

The victory, played at King Saud University Stadium, marked Al‑Nassr’s first league championship since 2019 and the final day of the season.

Ronaldo netted the team’s last two goals, following early strikes from Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman that put Al‑Nassr ahead.

Damk pulled one back through Morlaye Sylla, but Ronaldo’s free‑kick from a tight angle and a close‑range finish sealed the win and the title.

At 41, Ronaldo now holds his first major silverware since moving to Saudi Arabia.

The triumph comes days after Al‑Nassr missed a chance to clinch the title in the penultimate match, when a 98th‑minute own goal by goalkeeper Bento gave title rivals Al‑Hilal a 1‑1 draw.

Ronaldo was seen on camera bursting into tears on the bench after the final whistle, and again after his second goal, as he pointed to the supporters in the crowd.

Earlier in the season, Al‑Nassr had also fallen short in the Asian Champions League Two final, the continent’s second‑tier competition.

Heading into Thursday’s final day, Al‑Nassr needed a better result than Al‑Hilal to stay on top of the table.
