Sector 7 troops, operating under Operation Enduring Peace, rescued two injured individuals after a bandit assault on Lusuru village in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
The attack began in the early hours of Tuesday, prompting residents to flee for safety.
Details were released in a post on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to the post, troops reacted quickly after a distress call at about 12:15 am, engaging the attackers and forcing them to retreat toward the River Kaduna axis.
Security sources reported that Mrs Charity Sunday and Mrs Asabe Ayuba were rescued from the scene with injuries.
The wounded victims were transported to Saint Louis Hospital, Zonkwa, where they are receiving treatment.
Since the incident, troops have increased patrols in the area, are tracking the fleeing attackers, and are maintaining a security presence to deter further attacks in nearby communities.
