Remo Stars expressed disappointment after being relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Sky Blue Stars finished 17th in the NPFL standings, earning 47 points.
Club officials acknowledged that they did not achieve the performance and consistency required to remain in the top tier.
Remo Stars said it would make key decisions to secure a return to the top flight.
“Following the conclusion of the 2025‑26 NPFL season, Remo Stars will now compete in the Nigeria National League, NNL, next season,” the club stated on Monday.
“The outcome of the season is very disappointing for everyone connected to the club—supporters, players, staff, and management—who have invested emotions into the journey.”
“We understand the disappointment and frustration this season has brought, and the expectations attached to this club are high.”
“We didn’t deliver the performance and consistency required to maintain our place in the division.”
“Important decisions will be made and every effort will be directed toward returning the club to where it belongs.”
