Rashford Deserves To Be At Barca –Deco

Barcelona sporting director Deco has disclosed that Marcus Rashford deserves to be at the club after a successful loan spell from Manchester United.

Rashford, 28, has been highly efficient for Hansi Flick’s side, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists across all competitions to help secure the La Liga title.

In a chat with BBC Sport, Deco stated that the club are very happy with Rashford as they continue to negotiate for the 28 year old.

“Marcus has helped us a lot because he came on loan, it is not easy to come on loan as a player like him because he is a top player.

“He helped us a lot because he had the responsibility to replace Raphinha, it is not easy but he did very well,” Deco told BBC Sport.

“Sometimes he (is) on the bench and it’s not easy but he reacted very well and he did everything.

“His season was very good and we are happy he won La Liga with us. He deserves (it), he works a lot and works hard to be here. We are happy with him.”

Marcus Rashford enjoyed a highly successful stint at FC Barcelona, stepping up as a key difference-maker across all competitions.

Often deployed in a rotation role under Hansi Flick, he recorded impressive numbers—including a stunning free-kick against Real Madrid in a title-deciding match.

His most notable performances included a brilliant header and a majestic rocket goal in the Champions League, as well as an opening goal in a vital El Clásico.

Rashford also stated that he would love to make his move to Barca permanent.

“Of course, what I want is to stay at Barça. It’s an end goal,” in a Facebook post referencing a Sport interview.
