Rangers secured their ninth Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title after a hard‑fought 2‑1 win over Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, on Sunday.
The Rangers, led by Fidelis Ilechukwu, opened the scoring in the 30th minute when Chidiebere Nwobodo netted the first goal.
Nwobodo added a second just ten minutes into the second half, putting the Flying Antelopes firmly in control.
Ikorodu City, who were also vying for a continental spot, managed to pull one back when Moses Ali scored in the 58th minute, but Rangers held on to claim the victory and the league crown.
