Rangers Chief Urges Players to Aim for a Double in the President’s Federation Cup

Rangers General Manager Amobi Ezeaku has urged his squad to set aside their recent league triumph and focus on the President Federation Cup.

The Flying Antelopes will face Rivers United in the Round of 32 of the competition.

The match is scheduled to take place at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Ezeaku cautioned his team that the encounter will be a difficult one against the Port Harcourt‑based side.

“Congratulations, boys, on winning the NPFL title. But you should put that behind you right now and focus on the next game, which is the Federation Cup Round of 32 match against Rivers United,” Ezeaku said, as quoted by Completesports.

“You know it’s going to be a tough game because they will throw everything into the match. We denied them the league title, so they will come fully prepared to win this one.”

Ezeaku added that celebrations should not distract the team as they pursue a domestic double.

“You must not allow your celebrations to be cut short. Is it a bad thing for us to win the double? So, all attention and focus should be geared towards the game.”
