Paris Saint‑Germain have announced their squad for Saturday’s Champions League final against Arsenal, with Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi named in the lineup, according to football.london.
PSG Secure Hakimi and Dembélé
Full‑back Hakimi has been sidelined since sustaining a hamstring injury in the first leg of the semi‑final against Bayern Munich, while Dembélé missed the final Ligue 1 match of the season versus Paris FC. Both players were injury doubts, but their inclusion signals that they are fit for the match, a welcome development for manager Luis Enrique.
Hakimi netted the opening goal in last season’s Champions League final, helping PSG win 5‑0 over Inter Milan to lift the trophy.
Arsenal will aim to defend their title and add another accolade to an already memorable campaign. The Gunners lifted the Premier League trophy less than a week ago and will be hoping to secure further silverware tomorrow.
Arsenal Also Gain Fitness Boost
The news comes a day after Arsenal added full‑back Jurrien Timber to the squad travelling to Hungary, following his return to training this week.
Timber has been out of action since March, when he suffered a hamstring injury against Everton, missing the last 14 games across all competitions.
Barcola Highlights PSG’s Strength
Ahead of the game, PSG winger Bradley Barcola issued a warning to Arsenal. “It’s a great honour to be playing in a second final,” he told club media. “We’re going to do everything we can to win it. We’re trying to build as much confidence as possible ahead of this final, and we’re going to work hard to make sure we’re ready.”
“I really think it’s our collective strength. The fact that we play together, attack together and defend together. We really play as a team, and that’s our greatest strength right now,” Barcola added.
In the final, Arsenal will face the side that eliminated them from the same competition at the semi‑final stage last season. PSG advanced as 3‑1 aggregate winners, thanks to second‑leg goals from Fabian Ruiz and Hakimi.
