Presidential Screening: I’ll fight to finish – Amaechi on crisis in ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential hopeful, Rotimi Amaechi, has dismissed reports of a potential crisis within the party.

Former Minister of Transportation Amaechi, who previously served as governor of Rivers State, said he would remain with the ADC and confront any challenges that arise.

He made the statement after being screened by the ADC presidential committee on Wednesday in Abuja.

Speaking to journalists following the screening, Amaechi remarked: “Running away from the party is not the solution because wherever you go, you will face the same elements. What is the solution then? The solution is to fight them. So, when you say crisis, I don’t believe there is a crisis in the ADC.”

Before the ADC began accepting presidential nomination forms, rumors circulated about a possible leadership crisis within the party.

During this period, former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso defected to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

In response to the allegations, ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi denied that any crisis existed within the organization.
