President Federation Cup: Mangut Sets Big Target for Nasarawa United

Nasarawa United technical adviser Mbwas Mangut has reignited his team’s pursuit of a continental berth through the President Federation Cup.

The Solid Miners did not secure a continental spot in the 2025‑26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The winner of the President Federation Cup will qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

Mangut says the competition offers a chance for his squad to compensate for their shortfall in the NPFL.

“The players are hurting, and rightly so. But the season isn’t over yet. If we didn’t get what we aspired for in the league, we still have the FA Cup to rekindle our chase for a title and continental ticket,” Mangut told the club’s media.

“It’s a chance to define the year on our terms.”

“We have let ourselves down in the NPFL this season.”
