Wilfred Ndidi has become a central figure in this summer’s transfer chatter, with reports suggesting he is set to depart Besiktas.
According to Afrik‑Foot, the Super Eagles midfielder joined the Black Eagles from Leicester City in a deal worth €8 million.
He was part of a disappointing campaign that saw Besiktas finish fourth, 17 points behind league champions Galatasaray. Following the results, the club dismissed coach Sergen Yalçın and recently appointed Vincenzo Italiano.
The Italian tactician is expected to introduce significant changes, not only in the team’s style of play but also in its personnel.

The Nigerian star has been heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, but the specific clubs vying for his signature have yet to be confirmed. In this article, Afrik‑Foot highlights four likely destinations for the Super Eagles midfielder.
1. Al Nassr

With their current starter, Marcelo Brozović, potentially leaving as his contract nears its end, the club is scouting replacements for the 33‑year‑old.
Ndidi would be an astute addition, offering top‑flight experience and a proven ability to break up play and dictate the tempo of the game.
Aside from the prestige of joining the league’s top sides, a move to Al Nassr would allow Ndidi to share the pitch with global stars like João Félix, Sadio Mané, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
2. Al Ahli
Al Ahli have been strongly linked with Paul Onuachu, but he may not be the only Nigerian player on their radar.
The club faces a potential void in midfield, as Ivorian international Franck Kessie appears to be looking for a return to Europe. Although Kessie offers versatility across the midfield, Ndidi serves as a natural replacement.
Recall that under Enzo Maresca at Leicester City, Ndidi proved his ability as an advanced central midfielder. His defensive discipline, combined with that tactical flexibility, would make him an excellent acquisition for the squad.
3. Al Ittihad

However, last season was particularly poor, with the team finishing fifth—31 points adrift of champions Al Nassr.
Their poor finish suggests a major rebuild is quite close. With Fabinho’s contract set to expire and no extension confirmed, he could be on his way out.
Ndidi offers a similar profile to Fabinho but provides more mobility due to being three years younger. A move here would also reunite him with fellow Nigerian George Ilenikhena, potentially easing his transition to the league.
4. Al Taawoun

The 30‑year‑old Moroccan has been a vital presence in their midfield, and with his departure imminent, Ndidi stands out as not just a replacement, but a significant upgrade.
Bringing in a player of Ndidi’s caliber would be a major statement of intent for Al Taawoun, potentially providing the stability needed to push for a top‑four finish next season.
