The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has dismantled a child‑trafficking syndicate and recovered a newborn taken from its parents.

DSP Timfon John, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, announced on Friday that the baby had been sold for ₦145,000 without the father’s consent or knowledge.

John said three suspects were arrested: Ekemini Godwin ‘F’, 19, from Ikot Obioma Village
