Oyo State Police Command announced that it has arrested three suspects linked to a range of criminal activities in the state.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, made the announcement in a statement released to DAILY POST on Tuesday.
Ayanlade said the police also seized several items as evidence, including firearms and vandalised cables.
He explained that the arrests took place in Oyo town after police officers at Durbar Division received a report.
The suspects identified by Ayanlade are Suhaib Abdulwahab, Kabiril Mustapha, and Abdullah Abdullah.
All three are currently in police custody.
Ayanlade added: “Acting on the information, police operatives from Durbar Division promptly proceeded to the location, where the owner of the scrap shop, one Suhaib Abdulwahab, aged 30, of Akunlemu Area, Oyo, was arrested.”
“Further investigation and the arrest of the scrap shop owner led to the apprehension of two additional suspects identified as Kabiril Mustapha and Abdullah Abdullah, aged 25, both of Akunlemu Area, Oyo, who are believed to be connected to the crimes.”
