The Benue State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed eleven consensus candidates to represent the party in the House of Representatives for the 2027 general elections.
The affirmation process took place in several federal constituencies across the state.
Party officials said the exercise was peaceful, transparent and well coordinated, with participation from PDP stakeholders, Independent National Electoral Commission officials, security personnel and supporters.
After the event, Benue PDP State Chairman Rt Hon Ezekiel Adaji praised the orderly and democratic nature of the process.
Adaji noted that the selection of consensus candidates demonstrated the party’s unity and collective resolve ahead of the 2027 elections, and he commended members and stakeholders for their maturity and cooperation.
The candidates endorsed by the PDP are:
- Engr. Tortiv-Ato Peter – Vandeikya/Konshisha
- Mkeenem Moses – Kwande/Ushongo
- Damsa Terris – Logo/Ukum/Katsina‑Ala
- Shior Emmanuel – Makurdi/Guma
- Ukaa Emmanuel – Gwer East/Gwer West
- Ikyaagba Dominic – Buruku
- Maj. Gen. Ede Ode – Obi/Oju
- Emmanuel Sunday Ude – Otukpo/Ohimini
- Adama Otalaka – Apa/Agatu
- Aida Nath Ogwuche – Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo
- Nathaniel Ikyur – Gboko/Tarka
Adaji reiterated the party’s commitment to internal democracy, fairness and inclusiveness, assuring members that all party activities would be conducted on a level playing field.
He congratulated the affirmed candidates and urged them to stay true to the party’s ideals and vision, while calling on party faithful throughout the state to unite for the PDP’s success in the upcoming general elections.
