The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the factional Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Adolphus Wabara, together with members of the interim National Working Committee (NWC) headed by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, are holding a closed‑door meeting with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.
Sources familiar with the matter told Vanguard that the meeting may be related to recent reports linking Governor Makinde to a presidential bid on the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) platform, as well as concerns about bandit attacks that occurred in Ibadan a few days after the governor’s declaration.
“The meeting may not be unconnected with recent reports linking Governor Makinde to a presidential ambition on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement, while discussions are also believed to touch on the recent bandit attacks in Ibadan,” the source said.
Details of the meeting remain sparse, as discussions are still taking place behind closed doors.
