Payne Relishes New Challenge At Inter Milan

Super Falcons midfielder Toni Payne is excited with the opportunity to play for Serie A giants Inter Women.

Payne joined the Nerazzurri from English Women’s Super League, WSL, club Everton in a two-year deal on Saturday.

The 31-year-old spent two years at Everton after arriving on a free transfer in 2024.

Payne Ready For New Challenge

The former Sevilla player said she is looking forward to testing herself in the Italian top flight.

“I’m really excited to be signing for Inter. There’s so much history surrounding the club and I’m really happy to be a part of it,” Payne told the club’s official website.

“It means so much to me. I’m in a different phase of my career now and I’m really excited to be joining such a competitive league and a competitive team that are striving for great things.

“It’s a really competitive league. I think I have a couple of qualities that I can really demonstrate here, so I’m really excited to do that in the upcoming seasons.”

Quality Addition To Inter Squad

Payne also spoke about her style of play, highlighting the qualities she hopes will help her make an instant impact for the Nerazzurri.

“I have a lot of speed. I like to dribble , put in some crosses and I hope those qualities can really help Inter this season. I’m really excited to get started,” she added.
