Former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ayo Oritsejafor, declared that elections in Nigeria are not genuine, describing them instead as selections.

Oritsejafor said the elections in Nigeria are neither free nor fair.

The former National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) made the remarks while appearing on Channels Television’s *Politics Today* on Monday night.

He stated: “Let’s be very honest with ourselves, elections in Nigeria are not free and fair, we have fake elections; in fact, I will even go as far as calling it selection, not elections.”

“When you look at the whole setup, the way everything is put together, beginning with the INEC Chairman to those at the Ward, you will see that it is set up to fail.”

“Does the vote of the average Nigerian count? It doesn’t count because they have figured out what exactly they are going to do; they already know who they want to win.”

“I’m seriously troubled because the decision has been made on who is going to win what.”

When asked whether he thinks Tinubu will win in 2027, he replied: “That is the plan. Fortunately for me, I’m a clergyman and I believe in God.”

“I believe that there is God who has the final day; we do the things that we can do while he does the things that we can’t do.”
