Oyo pupils kidnapping: NUT holds rally in Lagos [VIDEO]

The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) staged a solidarity rally in Ikeja, Lagos State, on Tuesday to protest the kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.

In a video shown by the union, large crowds marched, demanding that authorities rescue the victims of the recent Oyo State kidnapping.

Some demonstrators held placards reading “End the religion of fear in our schools” and “Let teachers teach in peace.”

The protest comes amid growing calls from Nigerians for the government to recover the students and teachers who were taken in Oyo State.
