The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that none of the candidates for the Oyo State gubernatorial primary were disqualified.
Hon. Taofik Abdulsalam, chairman of the APC’s gubernatorial and House of Assembly primary elections in the state, made the announcement at a press conference held at the APC State Secretariat on Wednesday, ahead of the party’s primary scheduled for today.
Abdulsalam, a former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, explained that all aspirants who submitted the required forms had been cleared. He emphasized that the party had not disqualified any candidate, contrary to earlier rumors.
Flanked by other committee members, Abdulsalam said the APC is prepared to conduct a primary that will stand the test of time and that the party is ready to reclaim the Agodi government house in 2027.
