Osun guber: ‘Your plan no go work’ – Davido calls out Gboyega Oyetola

Renowned Nigerian singer Davido criticized Gboyega Oyetola, the current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, in a post on X early Tuesday. In the tweet, Davido called Oyetola “the most desperate politician in the world” and said that his plan was “very embarrassing” and would not succeed.

Davido did not specify the details of the alleged plan. The comment comes amid heightened political activity in Osun State as the governorship election approaches on August 15, 2026.

According to the Daily Post, Davido announced two weeks ago that he would suspend his music career for two months to actively campaign for his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, in his re‑election bid.
