OSOGBO — Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a senior APC figure in Osun State, has emphasized that unity within the party is essential for winning the upcoming August 15, 2026 governorship election.
Oyintiloye, who previously served as a lawmaker, warned that internal divisions, bitterness, and anti‑party activities could jeopardize the APC’s prospects if not addressed promptly.
In a statement released to journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, he called on party leaders and stakeholders to resolve grievances and reconcile aggrieved members without delay.
He asserted that victory for the APC is non‑negotiable and that internal disputes must not derail the party’s campaign.
“No divided house can win a battle. That is why I am appealing to all members to come together and resolve whatever differences we have. APC is cruising to victory,” he said.
Oyintiloye cautioned that entering the election with divisions would be a costly mistake, stressing that unity and a shared purpose remain vital for success.
“The governorship election is fast approaching, and there is an urgent need for us to come together as one big family. There is no doubt that some party members may be aggrieved for one reason or another, but such grievances should be urgently addressed,” he added.
The former lawmaker described the APC’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji, as a “sellable candidate” capable of winning the election, urging members to rally behind him.
He expressed confidence that, with the support of party leaders—including Chief Bisi Akande, former Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, APC National Secretary Senator Iyiola Omisore, and other stakeholders—the party will return Osun State to progressive governance after the election.
