Osula’s strike against Manchester United nominated for Premier League Goal of the Season.

Newcastle United’s Danish‑born Nigerian forward William Osula has been nominated for the Premier League Goal of the Season award after his stunning strike against Manchester United.

Osula joined nine other players on the shortlist today (Monday).

The other nominees are Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool), Martin Zubimendi (Arsenal), Emiliano Buendía (Aston Villa), Tyler Adams (Sunderland), Harrison Reed (Fulham), Dominic Solanke (Tottenham Hotspur), Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) and Valentin Castellanos (West Ham).

With the match level at 1‑1 and Newcastle down to ten men, Osula secured the win with a brilliant left‑foot shot.

The Danish youth international ran onto a long pass on the right wing, sprinted toward goal, performed a couple of step‑overs to beat two United defenders, and curled the ball into the far corner.

Osula’s goal also earned Premier League March 2026’s Goal of the Month award.

The 22‑year‑old became the first Newcastle player to win the award in the current season and the first since Alexander Isak in December 2024.
