Osimhen praises Galatasaray teammate Icardi for a sensational performance in Turkey

Victor Osimhen, a striker for Galatasaray, praised teammate Mauro Icardi for a brilliant assist in the club’s title‑winning match against Antalyaspor last weekend.

In that game, Galatasaray defeated Antalyaspor 4‑2, securing the league championship.

Osimhen scored twice, while Icardi delivered a moment of brilliance by dribbling past two Antalyaspor defenders before setting up Kaan Ayhan for the fourth goal.

Speaking to Galatasaray’s YouTube channel, Osimhen said, “What Icardi did was sensational. It was sensational; it shows how talented a player he is.”

“When he did that dribble, it was like, ‘That is my captain.’ When he did that, I knew either he was going to go for the goal himself because I didn’t see Kaan Ayhan approaching at first, as I was celebrating Icardi’s dribble past two players.”

“That moment was really unique. Then he saw Kaan moving and placed the ball.”
