Onyeka Earns Championship Player of the Month Nomination

Frank Onyeka has been named a nominee for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for April, according to the Daily Post.

During the month under review, the 28‑year‑old defensive midfielder delivered consistent performances for Coventry City, helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League after winning the Championship.

In April, Onyeka made three appearances for the Sky Blues, contributing one assist. He set up Ephron Mason‑Clark with a stoppage‑time pass that sealed Coventry’s third goal of the match.

Since joining the club on loan from Brentford in January, the midfielder has recorded one goal and one assist across 14 league games for Frank Lampard’s side.

Other nominees for the award include Christian Walton of Ipswich Town, Adrian Segečić of Portsmouth, Josh Windass of Wrexham, Mohamed Touré of Norwich City, and Žan Vipotnik of Swansea City.
