Trabzonspor forward Paul Onuachu has been awarded the Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Season, Completesports.com reports.
The award was given for his spectacular scissor‑kick finish in Trabzonspor’s 4‑2 win over Fatih Karagümrük last September.
The strike had previously earned the title of Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Month for September.
Despite his towering stature, Onuachu displayed remarkable agility, meeting the ball cleanly in mid‑air to deliver an acrobatic finish that earned widespread acclaim in Turkey.
He outperformed Fenerbahçe midfielder Marco Asensio and Beşiktaş’ Orkun Kökçü to win the individual accolade.
Onuachu Key Man For Trabzonspor
Paul Onuachu enjoyed a sensational debut campaign with Trabzonspor after joining the Turkish club from Sky Bet Championship side Southampton last summer.

The towering striker finished as joint‑top scorer in the 2025/26 Turkish Süper Lig with 22 goals, sharing the Golden Boot award with İstanbul Başakşehir forward Eldor Shomurodov.
By achieving the feat, Onuachu became only the sixth player in Trabzonspor’s history to finish a season as the league’s top scorer, further cementing his place in the club’s folklore.
The Nigeria international registered 26 goals and two assists in 43 appearances across all competitions for the Claret and Blue, underscoring his importance to the team’s success.
His prolific form proved instrumental in Trabzonspor’s impressive campaign and reinforced his reputation as one of the most lethal forwards in Turkish football.
Remarkable Campaign For Trabzonspor
Trabzonspor capped off an impressive season by winning the Turkish Cup for a record‑extending 10th time, edging Konyaspor 2‑1 in a thrilling final.
Onuachu was the hero of the night, scoring both goals to inspire the Black Sea Storm to victory and underline his importance to the team.
Fellow Nigerians Chibuike Nwaiwu and Anthony Nwakaeme were also part of Trabzonspor’s triumphant squad, sharing in the club’s historic achievement.
