On Saturday, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa expressed confidence that the by‑election in the Ondo South Senatorial District would see a robust turnout.
Speaking to reporters at Polling Unit 05 in Ugbo Ward 4, Obenla community, Ilaje LGA, he noted that the district’s political climate remained lively in the run‑up to the vote.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the by‑election will fill the Senate seat vacated by Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, who has been appointed Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
