Olise Won’t Leave Bayern Munich –Freund

Bayern Munich chief Christoph Freund has confirmed that Michael Olise will stay at the club and is not for sale, despite strong long-term interest from Real Madrid.

Freund, in a chat with the club’s website, stated that Olise has a long-term contract until 2029 with no release clause, making a summer exit a non-topic.

“Olise-Real Madrid? That’s not a topic for us at all. He will play an important role for FC Bayern this season again”.

Michael Olise has been a phenomenal superstar and dominant playmaker for FC Bayern Munich, recording 42 goals and 54 assists across 107 total competitive appearances

Olise is fresh from breaking the all-time assists record at a single World Cup, registering seven to surpass Pelé’s long-standing mark of six, set in 1970, to help France secure a fourth-placed finish.

The former Reading and Crystal Palace winger also topped the 2025/26 Bundesliga assists chart (19) as Bayern successfully defended their league title before lifting the DFB Cup for the first time since 2020.

Following an extended break, Olise will link up with his Bayern teammates to continue the club’s preparations for the new campaign.

The record champions begin the 2026/27 season against Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup on 22 August.
