Okonkwo looks forward to playing for the Super Eagles

Arthur Okonkwo has expressed his eagerness to debut for Nigeria’s Super Eagles, DAILY POST reports.

Born in London to Nigerian parents, the goalkeeper previously represented England at various youth levels.

Last month, FIFA cleared Okonkwo to change his national allegiance.

The 24‑year‑old is expected to be selected for the Super Eagles squad that will compete in the Unity Cup later this month.

Okonkwo said he is thrilled at the prospect of playing for the three‑time African champions.

“It’s an honour to be given the opportunity to play for your country. I’m excited, I can’t wait,” Okonkwo told NFF TV.
