Imeh Okon, the Administrator and Chief Executive Officer of the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), received the “Pillar of Struggle” Award from the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), PSIN Unit. The award recognized Okon’s transformational leadership and steadfast dedication to staff welfare.
The honor was presented during events celebrating the 2026 Workers’ Day.
The award underscores Okon’s significant impact and her role in repositioning the Institute since taking office on September 1, 2025. The ASCSN praised her for creating a supportive work environment and for implementing policies that have boosted staff productivity and fostered institutional growth.
In her acceptance speech, Okon congratulated PSIN staff and highlighted their essential contribution to the Institute’s successes. She described workers as “the beacon and fulcrum of productivity, progress, innovation, creativity, and prosperity,” emphasizing the critical role of a committed workforce in achieving sustainable national development.
