The Ok Movement, a support group for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi and his running mate Rabiu Kwankwaso, condemned remarks made by Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church.

According to the Daily Post, Ayodele, in response to Kwankwaso’s selection as Obi’s running mate, claimed that the former governor would “eventually sell” Obi.

Kwankwaso, through his lawyers Magaji Mato Ibrahim, SAN & Co., has given the cleric 24 hours to retract the comments and issue an apology on both local and international media platforms, or else pursue a N10 billion lawsuit.

In a statement posted on its official X handle on Wednesday, the Ok Movement said the publication was intended to damage Kwankwaso’s reputation.

The group also demanded that Ayodele retract his remarks and apologize to the NDC vice‑presidential candidate.

“The OK Movement demands a retraction and apology for the defamatory contents and comments against His Excellency Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso,” the statement read.

“Public statements must be rooted in facts and civility. Truth, accountability and responsibility for public engagement remain essential to strengthening our nation, culture and civilization,” the group added.
