The Ogun State Public Works Agency (OGPWA) has reaffirmed its dedication to environmental cleanliness and public health by actively participating in the weekly environmental sanitation exercise held at its offices and operational sites in Agbeloba, Abeokuta.

The exercise was overseen by the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mrs. Ojumoola Onawoga.

Onawoga led the Agency’s management team on Thursday to ensure full compliance with the state’s environmental sanitation directives. She praised staff members for their dedication, cooperation, and active involvement in maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.

She emphasized that environmental sanitation is a collective responsibility that should be embraced as an ongoing culture rather than a one‑time activity.

According to her, employees should uphold a culture of cleanliness not only during the weekly sanitation exercise but also in their everyday activities both within and outside the workplace.

She applauded those who participated, noting that their commitment reflected a sense of responsibility and dedication to the Agency’s objectives. She explained that environmental sanitation should be considered an integral part of official duties and responsibilities.

The director reiterated OGPWA’s management commitment, under the leadership of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Works, Babatunde Adesina, to support government initiatives aimed at promoting a cleaner, safer, and healthier Ogun State.

She noted that maintaining a clean environment would significantly contribute to public health, workplace productivity, and the overall development of the state, adding that OGPWA would continue to lead by example in advancing environmental best practices.
