The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni, has reaffirmed the command’s resolve to sustain close collaboration with traditional institutions in advancing intelligence-led policing, strengthening community engagement, and fostering mutual trust between the Police and the people.
Ojajuni stated that the Command will continue to strengthen community policing through strategic stakeholder engagement and collaboration with traditional institutions.
He spoke on Wednesday, during a courtesy visit alongside members of his management team, to the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
Addressing the gathering, CP Ojajuni expressed appreciation to Oba Gbadebo, for his fatherly leadership, exemplary statesmanship, and unwavering commitment to the peace, unity, and progress of the state.
He also acknowledged the remarkable contributions of Egbas in the Diaspora, whose sustained engagement with the leadership of the State Police Command, constructive dialogue, and support for security initiatives continue to reflect their enduring love for their homeland and collective commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
In his remarks, the Paramount ruler of Egbaland, described the visit as a demonstration of respect for the revered traditional institution and a reaffirmation of the enduring partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the people of Egbaland.
Oba Gbadebo commended CP Ojajuni for the remarkable operational strides recorded by the Command since his assumption of office, applauding the successes of Operation KOSAYE, which, he said, have significantly reinforced public confidence in policing and enhanced the security of lives and property across Ogun State.
DAILY POST reports that the CP and his team were received by the Alake in the presence of the Olu of Itori Land, Oba Abdulfatai Akamo, the Egba General Chiefs, and other illustrious sons and daughters of Egbaland.
The visit provided a valuable platform for constructive dialogue on contemporary security challenges, community policing initiatives, and the indispensable role of the traditional institution in promoting peace, security, and socio-economic development across Ogun State.
