Nigeria defender Igoh Ogbu is scheduled to have a scan in Lisbon on Monday to assess the injury he suffered during the Super Eagles’ training session on Saturday, Completesports.com reports.
The centre‑back, who plays for Slavia Prague, sustained an Achilles tendon injury and has been ruled out of Nigeria’s forthcoming international friendly against Portugal.
Super Eagles Media Officer Promise Efoghe has refuted claims that the 26‑year‑old has already left the team’s camp and returned to the Czech Republic.

“Twenty‑two players took part in training. Injured Igoh Ogbu is still with the team in camp. Disregard reports suggesting he has gone back to Prague. He will undergo a scan here in Lisbon on Monday,” Efoghe said.
Ogbu appeared in Nigeria’s two matches at the Unity Cup invitational tournament in London last month.
He also started the Super Eagles’ 2‑2 draw with Poland on Wednesday before being replaced by Semi Ajayi at half‑time.
The Super Eagles will face World Cup‑bound Portugal in an international friendly at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria next Wednesday.
