Obanikoro chairs new APC primary committee for Kwara gubernatorial race

Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, a former minister and prominent APC figure from Lagos State, has been appointed as the new chairman of the Kwara APC Governorship Primary Election Committee.

After convening a meeting with the party aspirants, Obanikoro met with journalists in Ilorin on Thursday evening to discuss the upcoming primary.

The conversation at the APC Secretariat centered on the logistics for the rescheduled primary election.

Obanikoro explained that the original primary was halted because of logistical difficulties.

He assured party members that all necessary arrangements have now been finalized, and a fresh primary will take place across the 193 wards of the state on Friday.

Previously, the state chapter had announced the suspension of the exercise midway through the process on Thursday afternoon.
