NWFL: Bayelsa Queens name Mathew new head coach

Wemimo Mathew has been named the new head coach of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) side Bayelsa Queens, DAILY POST reports.

Mathew replaces Whyte Ogbonda, who departed the club at the end of last season.

The young tactician joins the Prosperity Girls from Remo Stars Ladies.

Mathew guided Remo Stars Ladies to promotion to the NWFL in 2023.

They also earned a historic qualification for the NWFL playoff last season.

Bayelsa Queens lost the NWFL title to Edo Queens last season.
